ADHD: Environment and Freedom

There is much to be understood with these gifted children. But first let us address the earth, her shifts, her needs and impact upon these children as well. All grows, whether human or organic, from the ground up. Meaning all is connected and continues to be manifested in the continuum of time as a whole. To understand the energetics of this as well as the energetics of separation is a true key component to the understanding the children themselves.

All is connected that we know and as humans go, can accept. But let us delve further into this. All is connected. What does this truly mean and what does this mean for the sake of growth?

(Environment)

Energetically we all affect each other. So you say to the parent: “As much as our children are individuals they live and exist in the collective energies of home and school. Let us look around us. How do we perceive their school environment? How do they perceive their environment?” Is it nurturing, stressful, loaded with expectations? Is there room for free thought? Is there time to offer them expression of self or is everything so structured and regimented that these freedoms have somehow been put aside and unaccounted for. Know that when this happens children will tend to lash out to create this freedom of expression – whether in darkness or light they are, in a sense, fighting for their freedom. Freedom to express themselves in a structure that allows for virtually no self-expression.

Structure – When was this structure created at school or in the home? Is it fairly new, or is it using traditional methods seemingly outdated for today’s gifted indigo?

Physical, mental, imaginative bodies – Have they all been fragmented into different modes of expression? In other words… of one continuous activity or moment allowing movement for each of these bodies. They have become separated. (gym – brain work-?) So simply put, offer the parent of these children to look at the make-up of the primary structures in their lives.

Home – Is free play considered? Or are children being chauffeured from one event to another then to have dinner and homework and bed. TV is of no value to the indigo. It merely deadens their sensory and allows for no stimuli or growth within their energetic fields.

We need to stop viewing our children as ourselves and begin to see their unique qualities and needs. We need to step outside the archaic traditional systems of education and the current mainstream way of regimenting our children’s time and give them back their freedom. Freedom of expression, freedom of time, no commitments, no exceedingly expectation to succeed. And who is all their success for? For them? No. For us. For the parents?! We need to look into ourselves as a society and stop projecting our needs for success, our needs to be the smartest, or the best – whatever happened to the premise that a happy, joyful child is a “successful” child?! Parents wake up. Your children are calling. Do you hear them?
